2 for today

OK so I forgot yesterday...we all knew it was going to happen at some point!  But Mondays are crazy...both my girls have dance lessons and it is just so LONG.  The carpool line at school, the 4pm class, dinner, then the 6pm class...I don't know why it makes me so tired but it does.  So...I went from a park session straight to that circus and well there went my post.  So...2 for today!

This is my friend Halle and she is so BUSY!  The last time I photographed her she was 4 months old and man, what a difference!  She started walking at 10 months and she did not stop moving the entire session!  The second image was taken as she looked at a book...otherwise she would have walked right out of the studio.

I love this image.  I have had this hat forever...and finally used it!  Also my first time using this new chestnut colored paper...which is my new fave.  This little one was a tough cookie...probably the quietest 3 year old I ever met!  But she warmed up...after a little bribery with candy hearts!

Santa Barbara, CA   01.16.09

Image of my daughter Sara playing in the surf.  We were on vacation out there for the week.  My aunt & cousins live in the Santa Barbara area, and we had just spent the last day with them touring a winery where my cousin works.  The next morning, before we got in the car to drive back to So. Cal...we went to this beach right across the street from where my aunt lives.  The girls could have stayed here all day collecting shells! Probably the highlight of their trip...other than Disneyland, of course.

Here's something you don't see every day...a 9 month old falling asleep in the MIDDLE of a session!  But fall asleep, she did.  Do you know how many hours I have spent trying to get newborns to go to sleep???  And this one, just passed right out in her mama's lap.  So we worked around it, so to speak...like you see here.
